Every time I start running, the first couple miles are always hard, as if my body has forgotten how to run. It does not matter whether my last run was yesterday or last week. When I am done, I am always glad that I got outside, especially in the winter. It keeps me sane.
Every time I visit a friend’s neighborhood or a new city, I automatically scan for new running routes. I once gave a talk on running titled “Toenails are for wimps”. If you died laughing, it’s because you are a runner too.
